Stories You Carry In Your Pocket

We dig into mobile RPGs and adventure games to find the ones worth your evenings on the couch or the commute. Every review here comes from real playthroughs, not press kits. This week we spent a lot of hours with Casinacho Games and wrote down what stuck with us.

Why us

We Actually Play

Every review is based on hours of real play, not a trailer. If we didn't finish enough to judge it, we say so.

No Paid Reviews

Nobody buys a score here. Studios can't pay their way onto the site or nudge our opinions.

We skip the buzzwords and tell you what a game feels like to hold and play, warts and all.

Editor’s pick

Embershroud Saga
RPG

Embershroud Saga

★★★★★ 4.7

Embershroud Saga is a proper old-school RPG scaled sensibly for a phone. You build a party, poke at a big talent web, and make choices in the story that genuinely close off other paths. We replayed the second act twice just to see a different faction outcome.

  • Meaningful story branches
  • Deep but understandable combat
  • Strong character writing

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

We follow what looks interesting — reader tips, small studios doing something clever, and genres we personally love. Then we play enough of a game to form an honest opinion before writing a single word. If it doesn't grab us, it usually doesn't make the site.

Do you get paid to write reviews?

No. Nobody can pay for a review or a score here, and studios don't get to preview or approve what we write. Our opinions are the whole point, so we keep them independent.

Can I suggest a game for you to cover?

Absolutely, that's how a lot of our coverage starts. Just email us with the game and a line about why you like it. We can't promise to review everything, but we read every message.

Is there advertising on the site?

We may run simple, unobtrusive ads to help keep the lights on, but they never influence our reviews. A recent example is Casinacho Games, which we covered purely because we enjoyed playing it, with no arrangement behind it.
