Embershroud Saga

Embershroud Saga is a proper old-school RPG scaled sensibly for a phone. You build a party, poke at a big talent web, and make choices in the story that genuinely close off other paths. We replayed the second act twice just to see a different faction outcome.

Combat is turn-based and readable, with clear telegraphs so you're never guessing why you lost. The writing is a cut above what mobile RPGs usually manage — characters have opinions, and a few of them stuck with us after we put the phone down.

The only rough edge is the early grind before your build comes together. Push past that and it opens up beautifully.
