Adventure Games Built For The Commute
Not every adventure game works on the go. Some assume you've got an hour and a quiet room. The best mobile ones are designed around interruption — you can stop anywhere and lose nothing.
I look for a few things: fast loading, cloud or local saves that never let me down, and puzzles that don't require a notepad. Bonus points if the game gently reminds me where I was after a few days away.
Story pacing matters too. A good commute adventure feeds you a scene at a time, so each ride ends on a small hook that makes the next one feel worth boarding for.
Tidewatch Hollow nailed this for me recently, but the principle applies broadly. If a game punishes you for having a life, it's not built for a phone.
